Android Digital Processing of the Heart Rate

I'm wondering how is it the algorithm to process the signal of the output from the PPG. This is kind of new things for me because, i'm not to sure how the data will be processed. So then, i'm thinking about to make a flow chart as below:-

The most important is the peak detection as the result that will be used as heart beat rate per minute.
