I'm a Developer

Hello There Again People,,!!!

Good morning, its quite cold and quite around here at Shah Alam,... This week i make a revision about the developing android application using Java Development Kit, which will be used to develop application for monitoring data in smartphone from the output of the PPG. As i know, Android is open source and Google releases the code under the Apache License. The open source code and permissive licensing allows the software to be freely modified and distributed by device manufacturers, wireless carriers and enthusiast developers. Additionally, Android has a large community of developers writing applications that extend the functionality of devices, written primarily in a customized version of the Java programming language.

Java Development Kit (JDK) includes a complete JRE (Java Runtime Environtment) plus tools for developing, debugging and monitoring Java applications. For this project i decided to use Android Development Tools (ADT) which is a plugin for the Eclipse IDE that is designed to give you a powerful, integrated environment in which to build Android applications.

There you are, one of the simple application that success by me. The software of the developer kits can be downloaded at here http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html... Happy Developing.....Bye nowww..

Decide Which One is the Best Communication Technology

Communication technology really confusing, because for me this technology almost the same which is to receive and transmit the data. The differences is that, how much the distance can this data will be transmitted or the limitation which is depends on the applications that applied to it.

For this project which can be used and view to other place which far away for example, the PPG is attached to your grandparents at Sarawak and monitor it through smartphone to your place at Kuala Lumpur. This is quite long range since there are South China Sea separating you and your loves one.

To overcome this problem, GSM is suitable choice. This is because, GSM enables individuals to be reached via the same mobile number in up to 219 countries. GSM uses General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) for data transmissions like browsing the web.

Time to Learn About Networking Technology

Hello again,,,

I have few knowledge about communication technology which is used in our life. There are bluetooth, GSM, RF module and etc.

What i had research about Bluetooth wireless technology is types of networking and communication that is popular standard in the communication arena and it is convenient, easy to use and has the bandwidth to meet most of today's demands for mobile and personal communications. Bluetooth technology handles the wireless part of the communication channel, it transmits and receives data wirelessly between these devices. It delivers the received data and receives the data to be transmitted to and from a host system through a host controller intergace (HCI).

About the GSM, (Global System for Mobile communications) is an open, digital cellular technology used for transmitting mobile voice and data services. GSM supports voice calls and data transfer speeds of up to 9.6 kbps, together wuth the transmission of SMS (Short Message Service). The use of harmonised spectrum across most of the globe, combined with GSM's international roaming capability, allows travellers to access the same mobile services at home and abroad.

For the RF module (Radio Frequency Module) is a small electronic circuit used to transmit and receive radio signals on one of a number of carrier frequencies. RF Modules are widely used in electronic design owing to the difficulty of designing radio circuitry. Design engineers will design a circuit for an application which requires radio communication and then "drop in" a radio module rather than attempt a discrete design, saving time and money on development. RF Modules are most often used in medium and low volume products for consumer applications such as garage door openers, wireless alarm systems, industrial remote controls, smart sensor applications and wireless home automation systems.

I have to choose which one is suitable for my project which is Graphical User Interface for Monitoring Data in Smartphone. As we all know, smartphone already has its own networking system. And now, we just have to build transmitter for it to receive the data into the smartphone.

That's all for now....See you again in next week....
